Malaga, in Spain has existed as a city for hundreds of years, dating back to 1000 BC originally founded by the Phoenicians. Today, Malaga is a prime hot spot sitting within the south province of Andalusia; it has come a long way from its roots as a thriving salt and fishing industrial town. Following Spain’s take over by the Moors Malaga became a major trade centre and still continues to be a major thriving port city today.

Typically, Malaga has a very mild climate and the Costa del Sol is a particular popular beach which is a strip that is along the Mediterranean Sea attracting thousands of people over the summer months.
Malaga is full of rental car agencies and many people drive a rental car from the airport to their hotel or apartment. You must book your rental car well in advance.

Malaga is famous for beaches and there are numerous historical sites too which includes Citadel / Alcazabo - an 8th century fortress and the 13th century Castle of Gibralfaro.

The amusement park Tivoli World is the one and only Costa del Sol amusement park and attracts thousands of families each year. The amusement park has rides, shows and gardens with a Jurassic adventure section.

Cathedral of Malaga is an amazing piece of architecture which dates back to 1592 and is a great example of architectural style.

There are 2 museums in Malaga; Museo de la Ceramica and Archaeological Museum. The first museum is dedicated virtually completely to Malaga’s pottery trade over the centuries and the Archaeological Museum is full of representations from both Gothic and Greek art.
