Austrian expands to service to Dubai
A recent announcement from Austrian Airlines says their plans to further increase their flight capacity to include journeys to Dubai this year are confirmed for go ahead.
From its base in Vienna Austrian Airlines are servicing their 235 seater Boeing 767 where it will operate over half of its flights for the Vienna – Dubai journey.
This recent development will represent an increase for the airline of nearly 20% per flight in seating capacity, until this announcement Austrian Airlines has only ever used medium haul aircraft for flying passengers to the emirate.
Those passengers travelling Business class will see a far greater seating capacity with an extra 120 seats on offer per day on the new Vienna – Dubai route – this is twice as many seats as have been available with the airline than before.
The other flights on the new route to Dubai which will not be serviced by the Boeing 767 will serviced by an Airbus A320 which will offer a premium service which includes sleeper seats with built in massage functions and reading lamps.
Austrian Airlines have also decided to offer special discounts on this flight route to coincide with the launch of this extra service later this year.
