BA Strikes and More Strikes
June
28th
British Airways staff are understandably disgruntled and their union has threatened several strikes this summer.
The fuss is all over BA trying to cut its costs now that the price of fuel has risen so high. The cost of fuel for them has jumped 84 per cent in the last year.
To cut costs, they propose setting up a new subsidiary firm, transferring all their staff to it and paying them less.
Understandably, staff are not impressed.
What I don’t understand, is that BA has increased its surcharges on flights to all its customers and is still making record profits. Why can’t they just accept slightly lower profits for once??
