During the Olympics, naturally we would expect to pay a little more for hotels and services in the city playing host to the Games, however, people have been warned that a visit to Beijing during the games will cost on average £1,074 in spending money

Overall, Sainsburys Travel estimates that prices have increased by an average of 452 per cent!

‘Beijing is only the 20th most expensive city in the world and much cheaper than London for example, but tourists should be aware that an event of this kind can dictate some price inflation, affecting retailers, taxis, bars and restaurants as well as hotels,’ warned Steve Johnson of Sainsbury’s Finance.

Beijing is always much cheaper than London anyway as two bus trips cost on average £1.54, that’s much cheaper than London.  I can’t wait to see the London prices in 2012 then.. doubt I’ll be able to afford that.

Further Points:
Yorkshire Hotels at great prices.
