Berlin Receives Jewish Visitors
Last week, reportedly, more than twenty Jewish leaders visited the city of Berlin on a short city break to learn how the city links with their religion.
Several places were on the itinerary for them, including the Grunewald Memorial, the Jewish Museum and the Holocaust Memorial.
The trip was part of a Discover Jewish Germany campaign and introduced by the German National Tourist Office in conjunction with Lufthans and Berlin tourism so leaders could learn about the past and present Jewish community in the area.
Berlin is a beautiful city and great for tourists, whether they are interested in the history or not. The city is a mere 800 years old, making it one of the younger capitals in Europe. Since the Berlin Wall came down, the city has been revamped and is fast becoming a modern, trendy city.
