Best Airport Awards

Did you know they have awards for the best airport? Hong Kong has won six times out of nine years and this year, the tenth anniversary of the awards, it has won yet again - seven times!
This year they did 8.2 million interviews with travellers and they voted Hong Kong the best. Call me cynical but is that not unfair as I doubt travellers have used every airport, or maybe they just go through Hong Kong more often.
Anyway, San Francisco won for North America, Brisbane for Australia / Pacific and Athens for Southern Europe. All make great city breaks and well worth a visit - but not just for the airport, although if and when I go to Hong Kong, I daresay I’ll pause for a short while to see what’s so great about it.
