Birminghan Airport Has Busiest July on record

Last month, Birmingham Airport has announced it had its busiest month on record ever as it handled more than £1.03 million passengers - not bad for a regional UK airport.

Around 700,000 were for scheduled flights and 300,000 for chartered.  It also means that their year to date figures have increased by 4.5 per cent too.

Personally, I haven’t used Birmingham Airport yet as I tend to use either Manchester or Liverpool, however, it is less than two hours away and if they are going to be handling that volume of passengers I can’t help but feel they’ll be pretty organised and efficient.

They’re going to see an even greater boost to those figures before long, because in December they start operating flights to Istanbul, one city break that I have been on and will not be repeating, but that’s another story.
