Choose Your Holiday by the Foreign Currency
It seems European city break might be declining if the latest research and figures are to be deemed true.
Apparently, us Brits are more likely to choose our holiday destination according to the strength of the pound versus the foreign currency now, which with the pounds decline against the euro means that city breaks to Paris and Berlin and such places are currently out for many people. Instead, places like Turkey or Egypt are becoming more popular.
In fact, according to the report, visits to the US are twice as likely now as the pound is still performing well against the dollar. The Post Office said that the pound is 17 per cent down on the euro when compared to the same period in 2007 whereas it is stronger against the Jamaican dollar and the Hong Kong dollar. Well a city break to Hong Kong would suit me fine!
