Christmas in New York

Yesterday we wrote about spending New Year in New York, but for those with children, Christmas may be more of a priority and where better to spend it than to take the kids to a place that will light up their little faces with excitement and joy?

I’m talking about Santaland in New York’s most famous department store, Macy’s.

The event runs from the 25th November through to Christmas Eve and children will love it.  Santa’s Elves guide everyone round all the festive areas, such as the Sweetery, the Rock Candy Mine and the Rainbow bridge and then the Checking It Twice Institute divide everyone into naughty and nice and all the nice children get a pressie from Santa - all the naughty adults don’t though sorry!

Macy’s is based in Herald Square in New York and is a must visit for everybody no matter when you go, just so you say you have been to Macy’s.  Personally, I found it a little expensive, but I did manage to get a really cheap make up bag that was Macy’s branded and very good quality, which would make an ideal Christmas gift - but I decided to keep it for myself!

New York is a great place to visit, so I would advise that everyone goes at least once in their lifetime. If you can’t go this year, make it your New Year’s Resolution!
