Recently, specialist research company Ciao Surveys conducted a survey to find the most favoured holiday destinations with the British folks and to find out a few more of their holiday habits and preferences.
The poll revealed the following key facts:
Top dream holiday destination was Bermuda, followed by 15.6% going for Greek islands and 13.9% for New York
Top continent was Australia
Top reason for going on holiday was to relax - naturally
For the top way to book, more than 58% chose online (that’s a big change over the last few years and a worrying trend for the high street travel agent)
58.6% of respondents said they like to research their holiday beforehand to plan activities, and most of this research is probably online judging by the last point
Maybe I’m just a typical holidaymaker, but I totally agree with everything there!
