City breaks for Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil is something I’ve never been to watch but I know many people who have and it is certainly proving popular across Europe.  There are several different shows, which I didn’t know, so for example the Varekai version of the show is currently in Madrid so for those who want to combine a city break with a viewing of a Cirque du Soleil show this could be ideal.

The show will be staying in Madrid only until the 4th January however, and then it will be moving on to Seville, another great city, where it can be seen from the 29th Jan to the 22nd Feb.

Yet another Cirque du Soleil show is the Quidam show, currently in the city of Brussells until 21st December.  Then it will actually be coming across to the UK and throughout 2009 will be in several cities here, including Manchester, London, Belfast, Newcastle and Glasgow as well as others.

The shows are meant to be pretty impressive, with clowns, trapeze artists, balancing acts and other circus performers so who knows, maybe next year I’ll take a short city break to see the Quidam version.
