During March this year there has been a large variety in the option of accommodation on offer to holidaymakers and visitors to Poland which has just recently been further extended by what is probably the country’s most unusual hotels.

The hotel, known as Blow Up Hall 50 50, is a themed luxury hotel which has surrounded itself with electronic art and opened just recently in the city of Poznan, which is close to the Polish border near Germany.

The new hotel is attached to a cultural venues which has been described as a ’socially-inclusive’ site based around a huge interactive art project which was designed by the Mexican / Canadian, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer who is a world renowned electronic artist

Through musical and visual installations the hotel has located special facilities throughout its communal spaces and twenty two bedrooms, which also includes the Lozano-Hemmer’s Blow-up which is an interactive display which is able to separate one surveillance camera into the viewing of 2,400 virtual cameras.

Guests at the Polish hotel are also given an iPhone rather than a room key, the iPhone provides a beam of light to show customers to their room where it opens their hotel door using new recognition technology.

Poznan is a key holiday destination in Poland and has become popular for city breaks, along with Warsaw.
