Quality Hotel - Birmingham
Saturday, den 9. August 2008Yesterday I mentioned eating out at The Brasserie during my weekend city break to Birmingham and I forgot to mention where we stayed. I’m afraid my review of the Quality Hotel will not be quite as glowing, although I’ve stayed in worse hotels.
The Quality Hotel is on Hagley Road in Birmingham, opposite the Clarendon Suites, […]

The Brasserie - Birmingham
Friday, den 8. August 2008Last weekend, I was on a city break to Birmingham and, having never been on a night out there before, we went in search of a nice restaurant.
Having spoken to a local Birmingham lad, the ‘bottom end of Broad Street’ was recommended for a few bars and a couple of nice restaurants so that’s where […]

Smoke Free Holidays
Monday, den 4. August 2008How long will it be before we can find nowhere to smoke in peace?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a smoker myself anyway and never have been, but I do feel sorry for those who do and genuinely don’t want to give it up.
I know it’s not exactly a city break, but P&O Cruises will […]

The End of City Breaks
Friday, den 1. August 2008Industry experts have forecast the end for cheap holidays this summer. They have even gone so far as to say that those holidaymakers departing on their traditional summer break this fortnight are unlikely to find it so affordable again.
The rising price of oil, as we all know, has forced airlines to consider their position. Some […]
