Millions Booking 2009 Holidays Early

UK Couples Largest Sector Of Tourists

A report by VisitBritain shows that couples are the most important sector of the consumer market for UK tourism.
Last year in 2007, couples took 58 million overnight trips and spent £9.5 billion, making them the largest sector of the market.  Next in line were people travelling alone, who made 38 million overnight trips.
