Don’t Neglect Your Travel Insurance

According to the results of a recent survey from Sainsburys Travel Insurance, people are neglecting to buy travel insurance because of the credit crunch and the rising cost of living.
I think I’ve already wrote about the way that experts have been surprised by the number of people still booking holidays. Everybody thought that with the rising cost of living that people would give up their holidays, thinking it was a luxury they couldn’t afford, but many surveys and the holiday industry have seen bookings remain strong.
In fact, people say that they don’t view their summer break as a luxury. In today’s busy society they view it as an essential break from the daily grind and would rather forgo other luxuries in order to afford it.
Unfortunately, it seems that people don’t view travel insurance as a holiday essential! That surprises me. It’s alright saying you’re not bothered about being able to claim if your camera goes missing but what happens if you are seriously ill? I fear this trend could end in tears.
