Eurostar Christmas Delays
It is now clear from the re-issued timetable from Eurostar that between Christmas and New Year there will be some delays to the service due to recent planned engineering work. So any travelers who have booked with Eurostar to travel either on the 25th, 26th or 30th December 2008 and 1st January 2009, they need to be made aware that their original Eurostar train times are quite likely to be affected regardless of when you made your booking.
The NEW Eurostar Christmas 2008 timetables are now available to everyone directly through the Eurostar website. Eurostar has also released a newly revised timetable covering those journeys taking place on the 10th, 11th, 24th, 25th January 2009.
According to their passenger figures, Eurostar just recently confirmed that it looks set to achieve its ten millionth passenger which they think will happen before Christmas, This new statistic believe Eurostar, means that there is a conscious shift in the mentality of the average traveler, Simon Montague, Director of communications at Eurostar:
Further Points:“We’re really pleased that 10 million travelers have now chosen to cross the Channel by high-speed rail. Its clear evidence that high-speed trains offer travelers a more convenient, greener and more enjoyable journey.”
