Flights On Time!
September
14th
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has released their figures from April to June this year, the second quarter, and they show that flights punctuality has improved when compared to last year. That’s great news for holidaymakers and us city break lovers!
The CAA monitored ten major UK airports and 69 per cent of the figures had improved overall.
All the regional airports monitored by the CAA improved as did the London airports, i.e. Stansted, Luton and Gatwick. Punctuality in this instance is measured by a plane departing within 15 minutes of its planned departure time.
Heathrow and London City both achieved 62 per cent punctuality rating, which was quite good, but unfortunately a decline on last year by 2 and 3 per cent each.
