Go Fishing For Piranhas!
If someone were to suggest going to Peru, you might think of nothing other than Paddington Bear, but it’s actually quite an exciting place to visit.
You can take a boat trip down the world famous river Amazon, spend a night in the tropical rainforest, go fishing for piranhas and swim with dolphins - naturally, not in the same place - or explore the Incan ruins.
You can even hire your own boat to go and see the wonderful sights on offer, just make sure you remember to take out some marine and hull insurance as your travel insurance won’t cover that.
Of course, you can’t visit Peru without visiting the capital, Lima, with its historical cathedrals and palaces, otherwise known as the ‘city of the kings’. Then there’s the Incan ruins where you can learn the history of the Incas, have a picnic amongst the ruins and get a fabulous suntan.
Whilst you’re there, be sure to visit the market Pisac, located at Urabamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
And if you really feel the need, have a marmalade sandwich in tribute to the little bear - or is that Marmite now?
