For anyone taking a city break trip to Helsinki, they may be lucky enough to see the new Finnair Silver Wings lounge, which has just re-opened.

The lounge has been closed all this summer while it has been renovated.  It has a much more spacious feel in order to reflect the values of the Finnish airline - creativity, freshness, security and Finnishness.

The lounge will be hosting around 6,500 passengers per month according to Finnair.

Finnair Plus concept and service manager Leena Muesa said: ‘Apart from its new look, the service points of the Silver Wings lounge have been spread out and the division of space is now clear and logical: while waiting for a flight, passengers can enjoy an espresso in the cafe area, relax in the armchairs or by the bar tables follow aircraft taking off to Europe.’
