It’s World Snowboard Day today

Today, December 21st 2008, is the day that marks the occasion of the date of the third annual event which is World Snowboard Day. This amazingly fun competition is a huge international winter event that stretches across the globe in celebration of the sport of snowboarding with its culture and popularity in over twenty countries across the world.

This year there will be more than sixty ski / snow resorts that will be taking part in this international event which will stretch across more than twenty countries in the world from: Poland, Hungary, Russia, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy, Austria, Spain the United States of America and France. Some events that will be part of the celebrations this year include certain snowboard initiations, demos, concerts and parties from barbeques to environmental awareness talks and plenty more surprises.

The nature of the event also means that it will help those who are interested in snowboarding from either beginners or experts and all ages are welcome so it really gives the chance for everyone to enjoy or discover snowboarding for completely free with professionals. Fanatics of snowboarding and volunteers assemble all around the world.

World Snowboarding Day is supported by the European Board sports Industry Manufacturers Association otherwise known as EuroSIMA along with WSF, The World Snowboard Federation.
