Travellers who are willing to pay a bit more when travelling from London Luton airport will soon be able to walk into the terminal, buy a ticket at a kiosk and get fast tracked down a dedicated security lane for customs and checking.

The airport says it will mean big reductions in waiting times for all passengers.

The Marketing Director said:

“We are aware that some passengers would value a way of guaranteeing the quickest possible progress to the security search point. We are therefore introducing the priority lane option and will be making a charge of £3 per passenger for this service; only passengers that choose to use the priority lane will be charged. By offering a choice of options we can provide an airport experience to suit the needs of all passengers.”
