Malta
Looking for a holiday with a bit of a difference? You want the whole package of culture, sun, sea and sand, shopping and partying. You need to check out Malta. With its Mediterranean climate, Malta has hot summers and rainy but mild winters. The food on the Maltese Islands is typically very Mediterranean in style, including fish and vegetables locally produced which makes the food that much more enjoyable and sustainable. There are three harbours on the island which need to be explored as they are all beautiful and packed full of culture, not to mention boats of all kinds. The main Maltese Island, Malta, is densely populated with the towns and villages all seemingly blending into one huge island town. There is not much open land on Malta due to this; however the buildings, culture and landscape all seem to fit and make the island much more interesting than if there were acres of open land. Top tourist areas to visit would be the capital city of Valetta and the beautiful Mdina which dominates the skyline as you drive up to it. The cathedral is lit up at night and is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in architecture. The whole island has a quiet sense of grandeur with a traditional cultural feel, as if a tad out of place in its own surrounding. Definitely worth a visit.
