New York – A big apple weekend break

Taking a weekend break in New York is a great experience from fabulous shops to amazing Manhattan which shines and is neon-lit and stunning at night. The famous Central Park is a great place to stop and recharge and the Middle Eastern Café known as Greenwich Village is worth a visit and if you are slightly adventurous with your food treat yourself to a Middle Eastern dish or go to Chelsea restaurant and try an American-French fusion in cuisine..  Not only have you got chic boutiques but you are in for some of the best live jazz you will find.

On a New York City break you will get your full pick of the best dishes in the world cuisines.  Chinatown is a huge place in New York City and full of oriental fare, Harlem’s is notoriously perfect in the serving of its hot ribs. If it is a particular busy day for sightseeing and all the famous New York restaurants are busy then try a New York beef burger - the best burgers, bagels or pancakes are found in New York.

Hotels

The majority of New York hotels are placed throughout Manhattan. If you have money to spend then a highly fashionable hotel that is also lively is Midtown, additionally, it is close to the major nightlife and some of the best of that special New York City buzz. If you prefer a quieter weekend break then try New York’s boutique hotels near Central Park or in Uptown. For more affordable prices of accommodation try Chinatown, you also have food on the doorstep.

Activities on a New York City Weekend Break

Cultural and world class art can be found at the amazing spiraled Guggenheim and Brooklyn Museum of Art. Take a rowing boat down Central Park; explore the skyscraper-studded Manhattan for hours. For shopping head for Fifth Avenue’s mega stores or Soho’s boutique chic. For those jazz fans New York’s live music scene at clubs in Greenwich Village is worth a visit as are the Latin themed music clubs in East Village.
