Those people who are planning their holiday on a cruise ship at sea during 2009 could be interested in the list of 2009’s ‘quirky cruises’.

CruiseCritic the news website for the market has itineraries listed that suit nearly all tastes these days as many holiday packages are now produced with different companies to meet the demands of virtually every demographic.

Those holiday makers interest in motorbikes could be tempted to look at the Mexican Riviera Rally on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas in March.

No bikes are allowed onboard, however, there will be much to entertain those motorcycle enthusiasts with $300,000 (£207,000) in prizes to win.

The company offering the cruise is Fred Olsen and it will take place on Black Prince which is a vessel that is due to depart on 30th March and is to give guests the opportunity to meet members of the cast from BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers.

A 17 day cruise aboard the MSC Sinfonia which sets sail from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in April sailing to Livorno in Italy will be another popular option. The theme of this cruise is one of astrology and guests will be able to attend courses with international experts and there will be some great clear nights on the sea to study the stars.
