‘Soft Adventure’ is good for kids
In the Times last week, there was a report from a travel expert, in which the managing director of a travel company called Scott Dunn, Andrew Dunn, said that we need to inject some ’soft adventure’ into our holidays.
This idea of ’soft adventure’ has come about because families are getting bored of beach holidays. Exactly what I’ve been saying for ages, go on a city break, get a bit of culture and learning and see new places, not a new beach - ooh, more sand please!
Apparently, more families are starting to do ’soft adventure’ holidays, which simply means getting away from the lazy resort for a while and doing something different, whether that’s a bike ride, a short hike or a safari trip. This sort of holiday is much better for kids as it encourages them to think, learn, get a sense of culture and adventure and have more fun in the process.
