Sydney Voted Top City in the World

Sydney is certainly a luxury city break, and it seems that it is a popular choice for British holidaymakers as the 17,000 readers who took part in the recent survey for the 2008 Observer and Guardian Travel awards voted it the favourite overseas city.
I have been lucky enough to visit Australia but not yet Sydney, although it’s on my wish list!
The Sydney harbour is certainly one of, if not the, most famous landmark in the world so no wonder people love to go there. However, for the last four years Sydney has remained in the second position.
For those interested, the top city in the UK was voted Edinburgh, another famous city with a great landmark, so perhaps a pattern is emerging?
