The City of Gdansk
April
22nd
Gdansk is probably a city you won’t have heard of. It’s on the Baltic Sea, on the coast of Poland and was nearly destroyed in World War II. It used to be one of the richest cities in Poland until the World War II started there in 1939. However, that richness still shows through now that it has been largely recontructed. This city is a historian’s dream.
Things to see and do:
National Museum
Oliwa Cathedral
Oliwa Monastery
St Marys Church
Dlugi Targ square
The Town Hall
Be sure to wander the picturesque streets and the side of the ancient port and sample the local delicacies.
