The city of York
November
2nd
With a population of 182,000 people, it is around halfway in the UK’s list of largest cities. But in my humble opinion, York is one of the most stunning, and understated cities we have.
It has the old fashioned, twisty streets, with the black and white buildings that look like they are leaning over, but have been around for hundreds of years, and will hopefully e around for hundreds more. Modern cities, with their glass and steel, just don’t have the same feeling about them.
York has good shopping, excellent food and drink, wonderful places to stay and plenty to see and do. All in all, it has something for everyone, and deserves the title of being the Capitol of the North.
