Amazingly, it’s been almost twenty years since the Berlin Wall was taken down and East and West Germany were reunited once again and it has taken some time for Berlin to regain its economy, its confidence and to start attracting mass tourism again.
Since the completion of Berlin Hauptbahnhof in May 2006, this conceptual train station has become a focal point of transport for Germany. Its sheer size and architectural achievement has helped it to achieve the status of not only the largest and most modern European station, but also a striking tourist attraction complete with shops, cafes and other attractions.
Now, Berlin is starting once again to feel a complete city in its own right. So, next time you’re considering a short break away, why not take a look at Berlin?
