The ‘new Riviera’ with Crystal Cruises
Travellers are now being offered the chance to travel onboard with Crystal Cruises if they wish to the Dalmatian coast during 2009; this region is claiming to have emerged as ‘the new Riviera’.
The cruise line is operating a large number of Mediterranean cruise itineraries across the summer season, including visits to Dubrovnik which includes maiden visits to ports at Croatia, Trogir and Kotor, Montenegro.
Routes for Crystal Cruises’ taking place along the Dalmatian coast are to set off from Barcelona, Venice, Istanbul, Athens and Lisbon.
Cruise passengers are now going to be able to see the 13th century Medieval Villages and walled cities whilst participating in activities including rafting or kayaking down the Cetina Rivver and Adriatic Coast.
Senior vice president, Bill Smith, in the sales and marketing division of the cruise line, said:
‘Crystal’s savvy guests relish emerging destinations that, to a large degree, have yet to be discovered by the travelling public. The Dalmatian coast has long been a somewhat hidden gem – rich in scenery, history and culture.’
Crystal Cruises set sail from Copenhagen on 11th July visiting Stockholm and the Norwegian fjords including Bear Island and a number of other destinations.
