VisitScotland Guide to Scotland and Highlands 2009 events
VisitScotland have published an extremely comprehensive guide to all the famous food and drink festivals which are being held around Scotland in 2009.
If you are planning to take a trip to Scotland then the VisitScotland guide is a must for tourists – within some of the event it lists there is a festival called ‘Appetite for Ayrshire and Arran’ it kicks start in April and combines a great number of showcase events which are light on the pocket but help you make the most out of your trip to Scotland, knowing when to be in the right place at the right time is perfect for getting the best holiday you can.
On 26th April Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore in Perthshire open up the street and indoor celebrations with the ‘Celtic Food and Drink Festival’, a retrospective theme will be chosen in the run up to the event and visitors can enjoy tasting traditional Scottish food from all over Scotland. Cooking demonstrations will be held throughout using local meats, dairy products and a large drop of a huge choice of Scottish beverages.
In April and May 2009 the Paisley Beer Festival will be held at which will bring locals and visitors into Paisley Town Hall to sample beers from local breweries.
