Weather Increases Demand for Holidays

The recent spell of bad weather in the UK has encouraged more British holidaymakers to rush out to find last minute bargain holidays and city breaks, according to reports from Travel Weekly.

Now that’s definitely not the reason I booked my city break to Dublin last week - in fact, the weather will probably be no different than the UK - but I can certainly say that it cheered me up.  That being said, I think all these holidaymakers simply got fed up of the weather and decided to cheer themselves up with a holiday.  In fact, I reckon if you looked at the figures, holidays in general would have increased whether to sunny destinations or not.

The number of unique visitors looking for holidays increased by around 23 per cent, compared to the week before.
