Whistler is a wellknown city in Canada, just two hours from Vancouver.  However, it is famous for its skiing and snowboarding and yet there is so much more to do.  Most people visit in the winter but there are many attractions for the summer too.  Here are our top five recommendations for summer activities in Whistler:

Mountain Biking - Whistler has a mountain bike park, over 200km of varying rides and tracks, suitable for every capability

Take an alpine adventure - another range of fantastic activities awaits you in the mountains, everything from range riding, glacier hikes, ATV rides and rap jumping.  This is not for the fainthearted, but for those less adventurous there’s a range of hiking or rambling trails

Summer skiing/boarding - yes, despite the summer, skiing and snowboarding are still the top activities

Bear viewing - now here’s one not to be missing.  Take a guided tour to active bear dens and even watch mother and cubs play in the early evening

Alpine dinner - after working up an appetite after all that, take a trip 6000 ft high up Whistler Mountain and fill your face on BBQ foods like chicken and pork, corn on the cob and fresh oven baked biscuits.  My idea of heaven!

There are many more activities available, so if you’re looking for a luxury holiday with something a little different, consider Whistler and don’t rule it out as just another skiing resort.
