Great places to stay in Rome
If you are looking for cheaper accommodation the quieter streets leading from Rome’s Termini train station is the best place to look. St Peter’s Basilica in Prati is the perfect place for proper peace and quiet and can be found on the residential tree-lined streets to the north of Rome.
There are lots to do on a city break in Rome from travelling back to imperial times when you visit the ancient Colosseum, Forums and Capitoline Hill including the palaces that sit on the Palatine Hill.
Pantheon is well worth a visit if you haven’t visited Rome before, it is an ancient domed temple near the maze of ‘rabbit warren’ streets winding through the Ghetto which was once the Jewish quarter for walking along the banks of the River Tiber. With masses of photo opportunities at Trevi Fountain, enjoy Rome whilst sitting on the banks of the flower bedecked Spanish Steps which are nearby to the popular and bustling Italian shopping centre Via dei Condotti.
